Description
Synopsis
Veteran soldier Yao Kai has earned the position he has always wanted: Master of the Snake Gate, entrusted with defending Grand Cathay against the Chaos Wastes beyond the Great Bastion. His new command should mark a fresh beginning.
Instead, Kai discovers that the danger is already inside the defences. A Chaos conspiracy threatens the Bastion itself, drawing him into a struggle where military authority alone cannot protect the people who depend on him.
To defend his homeland, he must turn to old rivals and the family he hoped to leave behind. Blood of the Bastion brings the conflicts of Grand Cathay into focus through a soldier whose duty and personal loyalties are being pulled apart.
